Hello

I'm a highly skilled Senior Instructional Designer, with over 9 years of experience in instructional design and curriculum development for diverse learning modalities. I have strong project management skills, and proficiency in a range of authoring and editing tools. I am confident in my ability to create high-quality, innovative learning solutions for any organization.

My Story

I have a passion for creating learning experiences that matter. My journey started with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Kansas, a subject that has always fascinated me. I loved delving into the intricacies of human behavior, thinking, and learning. My passion for training was ignited when I applied my knowledge of psychology to help people learn and grow in a previous job. This experience motivated me to pursue an advanced degree in Training, which I accomplished by earning a Masters of Business Administration degree from Avila University in 2016, with a dual concentration in Information Systems Management and Instructional Design & Training.

I am proud of my decision to enroll in Avila as it was an invigorating experience. The coursework provided me with ample opportunities to apply new skills, and I gained the expertise to amplify my technical, analytical, and project management capabilities. My passion for psychology, technology, business, and adult education is the driving force behind my work, and I'm always eager to explore innovative and technology-driven learning programs for a diverse clientele.

My ultimate goal is to create learning experiences that matter, and that's why I'm committed to designing engaging and interactive programs that are highly effective. I firmly believe that training shouldn't feel burdensome or like a waste of time. I pour my heart and soul into every project to ensure that people enjoy the learning process and achieve their full potential, both personally and professionally.

As an energetic and enthusiastic learner, I try to glean something new every time I design. Design is not just a skill to me - it's a way of life. Steve Jobs once said, "Design can come from anywhere because design is everywhere." Whether it's a child's first word or the deep sea's complex mechanics, design is all around us, and I am always eager to incorporate these insights into my work. My passion for designing training that delivers real value and ensures full comprehension is what drives me every day. I give my all to each project and take great pride in the results I achieve. When I'm not designing, I enjoy spending quality time with my loving family. With three children and a 10-year marriage, I cherish every moment with them and find inspiration in their boundless energy and enthusiasm for life.
